ICanLocalize Translator features
ICanLocalize Translator has one aim - to allow running a multilingual Drupal site with zero overhead. Running a site in multiple languages should be just as easy as running it in your native language.
ICanLocalize Translator takes care of all the technical work involved in building multilingual contents and keeping it up to date.
In order to perform this one simple task, this is what the system does...
Identify new and updated contents
Whenever you edit your site, add or modify existing content, ICanLocalize Translator detects it.
The Translation Dashboard will show you everything that requires translation in one place. Then, you can choose to send everything for translation, or any document you choose.
Incremental translation
Content that's already been translated and is then modified doesn't need to be translated from scratch. And, your translator doesn't need to look for changes in the original page. Our system will send the entire page to the translator but will only allow editing modified sentences. You also pay only for what's changed.
Translators edit texts, not HTML
Page layout can be complicated. It can contain formatting, embedded objects and many other elements besides the text that needs to be translated.
ICanLocalize Translator lets your translator work on the text without ever seeing the underlying HTML. As a result, the translation always contains your exact HTML but with translated texts.
Does your website include internal links? Don't worry about it. ICanLocalize Translator will also adjust links between internal pages so that they point to the right document at the right language.
Publish immediately or hold for review
You can choose what to do when translations are complete. Completed translations can be published immediately or be held for your review.
ICanLocalize Translator includes a translation review admin screen which lets you see which documents are pending your review.
Translators communicate directly with you
We take pride in our translators and don't hide them from clients. Clients and translators are encouraged to communicate directly. This helps speed up the translation and produce great results.
When translators have questions about the text they're translating, they ask you. If you have a request from the translator (like SEO considerations or specific phrases that need to be used), you can communicate it directly.
All communication is done using a project-specific chat room. Everything is documented and secure.
